Notes:

New

  • There will be a pizza party on October 27 after school. The cost is $3 per person. Please have your child bring this money, along with their clean uniform, to the last practice on Friday, October 21. Only students NOT running in the league meet should turn in their uniforms on Oct 21.
  • League Meet (Oct 25): Only the top 7 boys and top 7 girls will be attending. Coaches will inform students directly if they will be running. The time for this meet has not yet been announced.

Previous

  • Oakland County Meet (Oct 7): 40 runners will attend; top 20 boys and top 20 girls (the coaches will notify runners by Wedneday, October 5 if they should report). The top 7 boys will run at 4:00 and the top 7 girls at 4:30. The open race will start at 5:00 for the rest of the runners.
  • League Meet (Oct 25): Only the top 7 boys and top 7 girls will be attending. The time for this meet has not yet been announced.
  • Picture day will be October 17th after school. Runners should wear their uniform tops to school on that day.
  • Comparing times at different courses, on different days:
    • Unofficially, we are suspecting that the Catalpa course might be a hair longer than Founders. If Founders is 2.0 miles, then Catalpa might be 2.1 miles.
    • The Possum Hollow course at Kensington is the most difficult that we run on. It has the highest hill, and as the Farmington High cross country coaches tell us, it does not give the same energy return on each stride. It is just slower. Expect times there to reflect this.
